How long have I waited for this. Amazing display, great great story. This season is really awesome! Also I gotta say I feel sorry for Furuya, nothing is working for him, must be feeling really bad, I hope he gets back up aswell.

Yus I agree, but I personally watched this anime with the whole team as a main character, extremelly satisfying to see Sawamura shine though, I've been waiting a long time.

What people need to understand about the story is not that they cater to the MC all the time. I've always wanted this kind of development because in other sport anime story you see the MC doesn't really have flaws as much just minor attitude adjustments, but in this anime it's different it's not just attitude, but skills, knowledge etc... That's why when Furuya became ace I wasn't surprised about it because he was pitching like an ace should It's unfair to Sawamura but at the level of pitching at the time he wasn't going to be able to live up to being an Ace since it's pressuring and he was still developing his pitch skills.

What do like is the rivalry as well it's not about who's better than who but becoming better for the team and use each other as like a level measurement of fueling the fire inside to excel at getting better.

That's why this anime shines to me because from the very beginning Sawamura didn't know some of the basics as he grows and learns more about baseball, he had to readjust his attitude which is why when he got partnered with Chris he felt like he just wasn't going to learn anything but then had a rood awakening from Miyuki about Chris and knew he was being harsh to Chris about his learning patterns and follow through Then so on and so forth. There was always something to learn from every game disappointing or not for Sawamura that if they had given him the ace symbol at season 1 it wouldn't have been realistic to the idea of character development.

So I like this pace the anime is going.

I'd give you a 100 likes. So annoying people whining about the whole sawamura-furuya thing😮‍💨

I kept fist pumping this episode! The mind games and the tension is just too good. Really feels good when Eijun is performing well and being given the credits he deserves!

But even if I'm re-watching I still feel bad for Furuya. Just like Eijun had his slump, Furuya have to rise up from his as well. Their rivalry is one of my favorites because their dynamic is purely that of support, and even so, they know how to have fun and tease each other without being toxic. They focus on improving themselves for the team and seeing each other perform well only motivates them to be better.

Furuya keeps messing up with running to third base and throwing a too high ball but on the other hand Eijun is going great with striking out Hakuryu and preventing a run thanks to some help from the fielders (shoutout to Shirasu)
